Never a traveller returns home without one prejudice less or one idea more.Thomas Morus, 1478 - 1535
From an early age I was fascinated by other countries and eager to get to know and to experience new things.
Many a time my curiosity draws me to distant countries and time and again impressions and ideas stay in mind, which have a lasting effect on my instruments. Often this distance from everyday life gives me the opportunity to try out new things.
With the decision to hike to Santiago de Compostela, also came the idea to build a solid, small instrument for the journey, which in the end I carried all the way to the west coast of Spain. The series of models that resulted from this trip bears the resonant name Santino.
