As wood is a living, working material, the work of a guitar maker is never the same. To make the natural qualities of the material perceptible in a fine instrument, through optimal processing, is what I consider as my task.
The wood should be tapped, listened to, smelled and of course be made sound. It is when examining and above all touching the living material wood that I take significant decisions concerning the emerging instrument.
Exceptional processing requires all senses. For this the guitar maker requires a lot of sensitivity, flexibility, concentration and also time. It is always an impressive feeling to finally be able to hold in one’s hands a unique, living and soulful instrument.
